Our Capability

The founder of WAI, Mr Adrian Wilson, is a chartered and professional civil engineer with a Master’s degree in Business Leadership. He has approximately 40 years experience in the water industry, 11 years in local government and 11 years in the utility sector. Adrian has 20 years management of highly multi disciplinary teams. For the 5 years prior to forming WAI, he held a top executive position in Umgeni Water, a major water utility in South Africa.

In addition to the above, Adrian has been particularly involved for the last 12 years in the management of highly multi-disciplinary project teams; a good example being Umgeni Water’s internationally recognised Rural Areas Water and Water Sanitation Plan. This has allowed him to develop an understanding of a broad range of disciplines and to establish an excellent network of small, specialist consultants.
